“Growing Nature’s Bounty, One Crop at a Time”

Wheat Farming: The King of Cereals

Wheat is the second most cultivated crop in the world and a staple food for millions. It thrives in cool climates with temperatures between 12–24°C and requires moderate rainfall (50–100 cm). Wheat is primarily grown during the Rabi season, with sowing in October–November and harvesting in March–April.

Wheat requires well-drained loamy or clay loam soil for optimal growth. Popular wheat varieties include HD 2967, PBW 343, and WH 1105. Proper land preparation and timely irrigation are essential, especially during the critical stages of tillering and grain filling.

The crop matures within 120–150 days, and an average yield of 18–25 quintals per acre can be achieved with good agricultural practices. Wheat farming is highly profitable when combined with crop rotation and precision farming.
